There was no more well respected player in the MLH during his career than Phil Ratelle.  Always quick with a smile and handshake Ratelle was one of the league's most underrated performers during a long 19 year career.  7 times he notched the 30 goal plateau and he finished at just under a point per game for his career.  He was classy and dignified and served as captain on 4 of the 5 teams he suited up for.  History will remember him as being over-shadowed by some of the greats that were his contemporaries but Phil Ratelle was a great in his own right and rightfully honored in the Hall of Heroes.
