"RUSSIAN ROCKSTAR"
CENTER PRIMARY ERA: BUTTERFLY
GM: 1637 G: 547 A: 992 PTS: 1539
Alexei Yasminov burst onto the MLH scene in 1994 with 50 goals and over one hundred points in his rookie season. He changed the way the game viewed Europeans and specifically Russians. Before Yasminov Europeans were seen as great contributing players but not players that you could build a franchise around. In his 3 decade spanning career, Yasminov became the first Russian to Captain a Victors Cup winning team, the first Russian to win the Diamond Trophy, the first Russian to lead the league in scoring, and currently sits as the top European scorer in league history. He did all this with in a way only Yasminov could. Highlight end to end rushes, fantastic one on one moves, and passionate celebrations were just a few of the memories Alexei left for fans. He was brash, bold, and a true Russian Rock Star.
