The Godfather of Russian Hockey in the United States. Mienchev was the first player to leave the Soviet Union and make an impact on the MLH game. A truly spectacular offensive player in his prime years in the Soviet Union, Mienchev is widely regarded as the best player to ever suit up for the Global Hockey Authority. He won an astonishing 6 Gold Medal Championships at the Winter Games and also was voted the best player (non-MLH) in the world 10 times. Upon defecting to the MLH at 40 years of age Mienchev took a defensive role and helped bring two different franchises to Victors Cup Glory.
